How to balance work & social life ? 1. Avoid getting work alcoholic. 2. Take oath to spare some time daily for yourself. 3. To spare time for yourself just start calculating your Total Available Time (TAT) = Work time + Idle time + Sleeping time + Personal Time required (WISP) 4. 24 hrs shall be distributed in this fashion W=10 hrs; I=2 hrs. S=8 hrs P=4 hrs 5. Now calculate on a paper of your present Involvement that is your Life Matrix. If you work for 12–14 hrs try to reduce it gradually. It’s on you how you will manage to reduce by offloading the work on others or doing it little faster at the most active times etc. If not possible then you have to search ways how to do it. 10 hrs dedication 5 days a week totaling 50 hrs is more then enough for an IT guy. One always lurk & linger what he already foregone whether extremely bad or extremely good.
